Aligning with Your Best Self

Showing up unafraid to work hard for what you want even when it requires looking inward is your norm. But sometimes, you feel out of the flow of your life – like the things that are most important to you just aren’t appearing despite your efforts.

On some level, something is just out of sync but figuring out what it is or how to clear it up is elusive.

Striving to be your best – to experience optimal performance – whether it’s in your career, relationship, athletics, or any other area of life – is your M.O.

Barbara Appeared to Be Her Best Self

Barbara felt this way when I first met her. To everyone else she was a dynamic, amazing, high-performance queen, a real go-getter. From the outside, your impression of her was wide-open, friendly, and inspiring.

Except when Barbara was home with herself. She felt like she was failing to realize the vision she had for her life. She would be overcome with feelings of regret, hopelessness, longing to reach for her heart’s’ desires. She often felt landlocked in the knowledge that she was an intelligent, hardworking person with good self-awareness, but she was unable to figure it out on her own.

And Barbara Found Her Best Self!

We started our journey by identifying Barbara’s current stuck points, strengths, challenges, and skills. She deepened her awareness of her thoughts and feelings as well as practicing skills to overcome negative self-talk that everyone battles. By keeping the focus on skill-building, she was able to move into repatterning long-standing beliefs and patterns that were contributing to her lack of fulfillment.

Tears dried up, negative thoughts decreased, and Barbara became focused on creating the life she wanted. She switched jobs, got in touch with what she really wanted from a partner, left an unhealthy relationship, and began to communicate effectively about her needs and desires.

Most importantly, how Barbara felt inside began to match how others had viewed her all along. She made the choice to design the life she always wanted. You can do that, too!
